Union Pacific Recognized As Top Railroad In Customer Service By Toyota

Union Pacific has been recognized as the top railroad in customer service by Toyota Logistics Services for 2008. The award is presented to suppliers who excel in equipment supply, communication, responsiveness, information supply and overall ease of doing business.

"This award is the result of a great team effort and we are extremely proud to be recognized by Toyota," said Julie Krehbiel, Union Pacific general manager and vice president - Automotive. "Our team worked hard to satisfy Toyota's customer service needs and is dedicated to providing the best service possible. Toyota is well-known for its continuous improvement programs and appreciated our success on their behalf."

A concerted focus on responsiveness, standardization, problem solving and overall quality contributed to the company's success in being recognized with this prestigious award. Union Pacific transported more than 700,000 Toyota vehicles in 2008.
