Tobias Jerschke (35), who has success fully held several key positions at Kuehne + Nagel since 1998, has taken over responsibility for the company’s operations in Poland effective October 1, 2008.

Poland is a country of strategic importance in the Kuehne + Nagel Group’s Eastern Europe region. The organisation comprises 14 locations with more than 160,000 sqm of warehouse space and a staff of approximately 1,600.

“Following the early development of our activities in Eastern Europe in
the 1990s, we have been able to continually expand our services and enlarge our customer base in Poland,” commented Bob Mihok, Regional Manager Eastern Europe. “We are convinced that under Tobias Jerschke’s leadership our future growth in Poland will accelerate and that our network and service portfolio will be further complemented.“

Tobias Jerschke started his career with Kuehne + Nagel at the head office in Schindellegi, Switzerland, in 1998. After several years in the central Corporate Development department, which he headed as Vice President since 2001, Tobias Jerschke was appointed National Manager in France in 2005 and subsequently Director for Sales & Marketing in the South West Europe region in 2006.
