ROLF SCS opens first specialist automotive warehouse

Employing more than 120 people, the facility is the first to serve only the automotive business and has been configured to address the requirement for full support for an extensive range of spare parts and accessories for multiple models and brands.

The warehouse will initially hold approximately 26,000 spare parts and accessories for 12 brands but has been designed with the flexibility to allow other automotive related businesses to take on and manage their own space.

Dmitry Soldatkin, Head of the Parts business within Rolf SCS, said “We are very pleased to see the official opening of this state-of-the–art facility. The automotive business has many clear criteria for an effective warehouse and Rolf SCS’s Tomilino recognises this directly.  By working alongside specialists from throughout the automotive industry as well as Rolf’s own experts, we believe that this facility will be seen to offer the best warehouse space on the market today”.

Building of the warehouse was completed in August 2008 when Rolf SCS took over the lease and began the specialist fit-out.

It is anticipated that some 10,000 square metres of space at the warehouse will be taken up by non-Rolf businesses and Rolf SCS has already received a significant number of enquiries even before the opening of this facility.

This event follows recent announcements about developments of port facility - Petrolesport, customs clearance business - Elit trans and a number of other investments made by Rolf SCS in 2008. Itis a company’s strategy to build upon this growth platform with further investments throughout the business and in respect to regional developments expected during 2009.
