Rolf SCS establish new logistics route into Russia

Rolf SCS, the supply chain and logistics business of the Rolf Group, Russia's largest automotive business, has established a new logistics route into Russia. Rolf SCS has opened an auto terminal at the Vostochny International Terminal - the port operating in Nahkodka city. This provides an alternative delivery to Far East, which will shorten delivery time to this region almost by half.

Rolf SCS's Marc Brenneiser said "Access to Russia is a real point of focus for international car makers. Most of cars are imported to metropolitan part of Russia – Moscow and St. Petersburg, and usually delivered to Far East in trucks, which obviously takes additional time as well as at additional cost. This alternative point of entry guarantees Rolf SCS and its customers in Far East a high-quality and well managed entry into Russia with a considerably shortened delivery.”

“We are proud to be extending our relationship with the N -Trans Group. We will be developing this base to deliver services for local and trans-Siberian delivery. This builds on our successful co-operation at Petrolesport, St Petersburg where we have brought in over 40 000 vehicles since starting nine-months ago”, Brenneiser added. Rolf SCS expects that the terminal could handle 10 000 vehicles in 2009. Vostochny Port is ice-free and works all year round in all weather conditions. The facility has large bonded storage capacity and customs clearance of vehicles.

First delivery included 300 Mitsubishi vehicles.
