These prestigious Awards recognise Europe’s leading risk managers and risk service providers. Pound Gates are one of three finalists in the Risk Service Provider of the Year category. It is the quality of the company's work with manufacturers, insurers and logistics providers in the finished vehicles logistics sector that is being recognised.

16.5 million vehicles were sold in Europe in 2009 and these vehicles are extremely sensitive to damage whilst in transit. Approximately 3% will suffer damage en route to retailers and there are significant catastrophe risks when vehicles are accumulated in transit. The overall cost to the sector is €150m - €200m annually.

The decision on the award winner will not be announced for another couple of months.
