Ferdinand Möhring the new manager at BLG AUTOMOBILE
As part of the increasing of BLG shares in E.H. Harms GmbH & Co. KG from 50 to 94 percent at the start of the year, and the associated adjustments in the AUTOMOBILE business division, Ferdinand Möhring, along with Bernd Kupke, was recently appointed as the new manager of BLG AutoTerminal Bremerhaven GmbH & Co. KG.
Möhring’s tasks as manager of the entire Bremerhaven operation before appointing a successor is in the hands of Heiko Quaas for the landside operation, Dirk Brunnert for the waterside operation, Ingo Neumann for the High & Heave area, Ivo Thamm for the Automobile Service Centre, and Michael Reiter for the Control and Planning area.
Last year, BLG’s AUTOMOBILE business division further developed its position as Europe’s leading automobile logistics provider. A total of over 5.7 million vehicles were handled, transported and technically processed – a good 10 percent more than 2007.
The growth achieved despite the stagnating automobile business activity from the second half of 2008 is largely due to new contracts for the technical centres and the doubling of the turnover at the Italian terminal in Gioia Tauro to just under 350,000 vehicles.
