CEVA Logistics launches a new operation for Renault
CEVA Logistics, a leading global supply chain management company, has started a new operation for Renault in Brazil. The service includes moving and warehousing of imported parts for Nissan, that is part of the Renault-Nissan Alliance. The parts, coming from all over the world but mainly from Asia, are received in containers and forwarded to the CEVA warehouse in São José dos Pinhais (located in the Paraná State), from here the parts go to the Ayrton Senna Complex, Renault’s industrial park located in the same city, in which the Nova Frontier and Livina Nissan models are manufactured.
Strategically located 11 km from the customer, the CEVA distribution center has 17,600 square meters, 10,000 of them available for this operation. More than 30 new employees were hired to execute all the processes. It is expected that each month 800 trucks will be moved with Nissan parts.
“CEVA identified the logistical potential of the region, and therefore invested in the expansion of the warehouse. This decision fits perfectly with Renault’s need”, says Ruy Nogueira, Senior Business Development Manager at CEVA in Brazil. “In addition to the opportunity to develop projects with a company the size of Renault, this contract represents significant progress in terms of the relationship between the two organizations”.
