Bremerhaven now also on the DFDS Tor Line schedule
The first mooring of the TOR HAFNIA on 17 April sees DFDS Tor Line also incorporate BLG’s Bremerhaven auto terminal into its schedule. The service had previously only commuted between Cuxhaven and Immingham, and transported BMW vehicles, among other things, for the British Isles. As a return load from England, Opel vehicles are now coming onto the German market via Bremerhaven. The service operates in Bremerhaven along with Cuxhaven.
The TOR HAFNIA is one of the newest and largest DFDS Tor Line ships. Measuring 187 metres long and 27 metres wide, it offers a total of 10,500 square metres of storage space for passenger vehicles, trucks and other rolling loads, as well as for containers, over its four, partly height-adjustable loading decks.
On its first trip, the TOR HAFNIA transported some 700 new Opel vehicles from the English production plant to the BLG car terminal in Bremerhaven. There, they initially undergo quality controls at the BLG technical centre, and are then distributed to the German dealer network.
